Sportsmen's Dog Training Club of Detroit, Inc was founded in 1942 and was Michigan's first dog training club.

Our purpose is to promote training of all dogs and to encourage individuals to train their dogs.

Sportsmen's hosts a two-day Obedience & Rally Trial every February which draws handlers and dogs from all over the Midwest and Canada. In addition, we put on Agility Trial in March & June.

Our instructors have an average of 15 or more years experience in training dogs and earning titles in Obedience, Agility, Conformation, Rally and many other venues.
